We heard that the Coddy Shack was the best in Cornwall so thought we'd try it out as we were only staying nearby. The staff were absolutely fantastic. The food was incredible. It was nice that it was a takeaway and you can actually sit down in the restaurant and they actually do breakfast to what was nice as you went for an evening meal and then the next day we actually went for breakfast. Be prepared for big portions, would like to thank Brittany and Louise and Jake for all their wonderful customer service for making us feel welcome. There's a story that it burnt down 2 years ago and it's been rebuilt to a better standard and that's definitely a better standard but was nice. We met the owner and I said to him how lovely their t-shirts were. The style of the design on their t-shirts was fantastic so I asked if I could buy one because I thought it was a fantastic design and I could which made me very happy. So thank you to you all for such a wonderful experience My mother and father-in-law loved it too and just to let you know my sister who goes to East Looe for holidays with her granddaughter. They actually go to Coddy Shack as well.
We had been here 10 years ago when we last went to Looe. We read that the original building had burnt down last year. The new building is really nice and the staff were pleasant and helpful. My wife and I ordered fish and chips, and my daughter had a chicken burger. The food was delicious, good-sized fish, and a decent portion of nicely cooked chips. Absolutely worth the money, definitely the best fish and chips we had the whole holiday! My daughter really enjoyed her chicken burger and chips as well. I had lemon meringue pie for pudding. It was a huge portion! I was well and truly full after that! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed
Really good fish & chips at a reasonable price. I sampled the plaice, which was huge, lovely fresh white fish with a crispy batter & chips. Mum tried the smaller oap cod & chips. Freshly cooked to order & near to our holiday park. Also has a restaurant with a good menu. Well worth a visit if you are near Looe.
We Love the renovated new area.... Takeaway staff is helpful and welcoming! Everything we ordered is freshly prepared, great taste and delicious And I truly enjoyed the home made Thai fish cake with chilli jam
Amazing cod and chips, cod just how it should be white flaky with light crispy batter, lovely. The best cod and chips have had at another chippy left the trade 3 years ago after nearly 15 years. Good customer service, friendly staff, dog friendly till 5pm. Shame not local as would definitely be back.
Myself and my friend stopped by after walking the South West Coast Path and endulged in Chips, battered sausage, mushy peas, curry sauce and fishcake. Oh my, what a delightful, culinary experience ! Absolutely delicious and up there in the best chippy i have ever tasted. The staff were welcoming and friendly and we will definitely be coming again. 5 star
I can’t recommend this place enough! The menu has so much to choose from, the presentation was fantastic, the portion sizes are huge!! The staff were lovely and friendly, the whole atmosphere was perfect. An absolute must and worth every penny. We will definitely be back!
Such a brilliant visit to Caddy shack on a Friday evening. We are staying at a local park and just wanted some good food! We got more than good food, the food was excellent. The benefit of it also offering a take away service, was that the food arrived within 15 mins, all very hot and so tasty. The highlight of the evening though, was our server Rachel. From the moment we walked in, she was such a ray of sunshine. She explained parts of the menu to us, and really took the time to chat to us and make us feel so welcome and comfortable. She made the experience for us, and we would return because of her. Such a brilliant server and really made our evening.
